An Algonquin canoe trip is one of the most enjoyable ways of exploring some of Canada’s pristine wilderness. Algonquin Park allows you to getaway from it all and to relax on a warm rock overlooking a sparkling lake. While canoeing along rugged shorelines and hiking down portage trails, you are bound to catch a sighting of Algonquin’s elusive moose. Though some of the portages can be challenging, at the end of the day you will feel a sense of accomplishment and will be rewarded with a great campsite and a breath taking view.
We have now partnered with Arowhon Pines Resort located on the picturesque shores of Joe lake. Where you can spend the night before a trip and at the end of the trip in a luxurious cabin. You will also get to enjoy a fantastic seven course dinner in the evening and a scrumptious breakfast in the morning prior to the start of your canoe trip. Click here for a sample menu and for images of their accommodations. If you are a group who wish to add accommodations to your trip package, there would be an additional charge of $263/person to the price of the trip.
This trip will give you a taste of what Algonquin is all about. It’s a great experience for those who are going on a canoe trip for the first time and for those who have little time off from work and need to getaway for a while. Each day will be filled with canoeing, portaging, and having a great time. At the end of the day there will be time for swimming, fishing, or just relaxing on the lakeshore. Throughout the trip your guide will be teaching you the basics of canoeing, regaling you with stories of the park, and will be baking up a storm of tasty desserts after you’ve enjoyed a gourmet meal.

The six-day trips are our classic Algonquin experience. During the trip you will have experienced all of what Algonquin has to offer; fantastic views, scenic portages, boundless wildlife, and a sense of timelessness. We really enjoy watching how people change throughout the trip. Everyone starts the trip as individuals. By the end of the trip they have joined together as a team; who look after each other and help each other out through difficult times. By the end of the trip you will have made some special friends whom you will always remember.
